Convenient Lab Work — Right Here in Our Office
We know that managing your health shouldn't mean running all over town. That's why we offer onsite laboratory services right here at Gilbert Center for Family Medicine. Whether your healthcare provider ordered routine bloodwork, a urine test, or something more specific, we can take care of it during your visit or as a separate quick appointment — no extra trip to an outside lab required.
What to Expect
Most lab work is quick — a blood draw typically takes just a few minutes. You'll be in and out before you know it.
Our staff will make sure you're comfortable and let you know exactly what to expect before they begin.
Depending on the test, results may be available the same day or within a few days. We'll reach out as soon as they're ready.
If fasting is required for your test, we'll let you know in advance so you can plan accordingly.

We work with two trusted laboratory companies to process your lab work. When you come in for lab services, please let our staff know which lab you'd like to use so we can send your order to the right place.
LabCorp
A national laboratory network accepted by many insurance plans.
Sonora Quest Laboratories
A local Arizona laboratory network widely used throughout the state.
Important: It is your responsibility as the patient to notify our lab staff of your preferred laboratory company at the time of your visit. Please check your insurance beforehand to confirm which lab is in-network for your plan, as this can affect your out-of-pocket costs. If you're unsure, our staff is happy to help you find out.
Common Questions
It depends on what's being tested. Cholesterol panels and blood sugar tests often require fasting for 8–12 hours beforehand. Many other tests do not. We'll always tell you what's needed when we schedule your lab work — if you're not sure, give us a call before your appointment.
Yes! If your healthcare provider has already placed a lab order, you're welcome to come in just for your draw. No full visit required.
Once your results are available, your care team will review them and reach out to you — by phone or through our patient portal. If anything needs follow-up, we'll let you know and walk you through next steps.
Most insurance plans, including Medicare, cover medically necessary lab work. Coverage varies depending on your plan and the specific tests ordered. Gilbert Center for Family Medicine does not bill for the laboratory testing completed at our site. The billing is completed by our laboratory partners. If you have questions about your bill, reach out to the coordinating laboratory.
