When something comes up — a sudden illness, a new symptom that has you worried, or a concern you just don't want to put off — we want you to know that you don't have to. Gilbert Center for Family Medicine offers same-day appointments so you can be seen by your own care team, right here, without heading to an urgent care or emergency room.
What to Expect
Call us first thing in the morning. We reserve same-day slots each day for patients who need prompt care, and they fill up quickly — so the earlier you call, the better.
Let our team know what's going on when you call. A brief description of your symptoms helps us determine the right type of appointment and how quickly you need to be seen.
Same-day visits are focused appointments — we'll address the concern that brought you in. If additional follow-up is needed, we'll schedule that separately.
We'll do our best to see you with your own provider. When that's not possible, another member of our care team will be available to help.

Just call our office. We open same-day scheduling at the start of each business day. Our front desk team will ask a few quick questions about your symptoms and get you on the schedule as soon as possible.
We'll do everything we can to get you in. If same-day availability is full, we'll talk through your symptoms to make sure you're directed to the right place — whether that's coming in the next morning, a telehealth visit, or guidance on where to go if you need more immediate care.
For most everyday illnesses and concerns, a same-day appointment with your own doctor is a great option — and often faster and more comfortable than a trip to urgent care. If you're experiencing chest pain, difficulty breathing, signs of a stroke, severe bleeding, or any other emergency, please call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room right away.
Yes! We see patients of all ages. If your child is sick and you'd like them to be seen today, call us and we'll do our best to get them in.
Same-day appointments are billed the same as any regular office visit. Most insurance plans cover these visits subject to your normal copay or cost-sharing. If you have questions about your coverage, our billing team is glad to help.
